Background

    Professor Weidong Yu obtained his PhD in University of New South Wales, Australia, in 2000, and he was a professor and supervisor in fiber science and materials in Donghua University. He pursued in characterization of structure, performance and formation of textile materials,Formation and Characterization of Functional and Smart Textiles, Visual processing and intelligent prediction of textile technology, Analysis and conservation of textile cultural relics, Fabrication technique of ancient textile materials; Nano-scale fibrous material and engineering. He was a member of National Textile Standard Committee, has published over 500 papers and been authorized over 50 patents, and been an editor for Textile Research Journal, Textile Leader, Chinese Fiber Inspection. He has completed 20 National and Provincial Projects (National Natural Science Foundation of China,Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities, Shanghai Education Development Foundation, Ministry of Education of China). He was awarded as Shanghai Excellent Young Teacher, BaoGang Distinguished Teacher, and Government special allowance from the State Council.
